About Us

Janet McCloughan started her travel career in 1979 at South African Airways where she worked for 14 years and gained invaluable experience in the day to day operation of keeping an airline and its passengers happy! She then did a two year stint at Air Madagascar and it was here that her passion for Madagascar began. In 1995 a chance arose to move away from the airline side of the business and start promoting Madagascar as a destination from the wholesale side and she has never looked back and where she continues to give her time 17 years later. Janet is well known for her in-depth knowledge of Madagascar including the other destinations we offer. She is extremely well travelled and loves nothing more than visiting towns and countries off the beaten track. To date Janet has visited every continent (45 countries in total) and her love is clearly for Africa and the islands but enjoys Europe for her personal holidays as she has always found the history of a country very intriguing. Janet prides herself in ensuring that client’s needs are adhered to and that the ‘goods are delivered’. Nothing pleases her more than building up a rapport with clients so that they keep returning for more… In her spare time Janet is a home bird and spends her time gardening and interior decorating.

Helen Mann’s love of travel started with her father an airline pilot and her mother an air stewardess taking her around the world before she could walk. After school she left Africa and went to live in London to do a British Airways Travel Course. Her love of travel has been with her ever since and she is happiest when imparting her knowledge and experiences to her friends and clients. With around 50 countries visited she embraces the whacky and the weird and she has found herself shipwrecked on a beach in Yemen and then being served by a butler in Seychelles. She is passionate about the Indian Ocean Islands and the continent of Africa – she is known to give you 100% of her time in planning your ideal journey or expedition. Other than being travel mad, Helen is a seasoned scuba diver with over 300 dives logged, she enjoys birding, adores flying in any form (she has a helicopter license under her belt) and approaches life head on with a smile and is often the instigator of practical jokes on her colleagues.
